Dance Cards
A reminder of times past...
Southern hospitality and etiquette became the way of life in the old south, long before and ever after the Civil war. Proper conduct was always expected and thus evolved a wonderful paper tradition. Dance cards were employed when a certain southern belle caught a gentleman's eye. How else could she keep track of all the eligible bachelors? Although Atlanta burned, thankfully, these paper treasures survived to remind us of an old custom all but gone with the wind.
