Limoges -- Blanks |
|
Blanks, also referred to as white wear, were created by a company
named Bowa & Dotter of Limgoes and sent to North America during
the Victorian and early Edwardian eras. Men and woman would participate
in painting these one-of-a-kind pieces. According to Hunter, the
most desirable hand-painted pieces are those painted by artisans
in France.
