Wrap It Up! |
|
The options for wrapping holiday gifts are endless. Here are some
suggestions for making each gift you give truly special.
Paper If you’re in the mood to be adventurous, how about
trying some exotic Japanese papers. It’s usually sold by the sheet,
about 31" by 43", so there’s enough to wrap a few gifts. Topped
with a simple ribbon, stunning.
Ribbons Satin and silk ribbons certainly set off a beautifully
wrapped box. They may even be used to decorate your home for the
festive season.
Boxes You may be lucky enough to have inherited some old
hat or shirt boxes. If you stack them, all you need to add is a
beautiful ribbon with a simple bow. Very smart!
Accessories They’re just that added touch. How about tying
a few small, old Christmas ornaments in with a bow. Simple and elegant.
Bags Not everything is easy to wrap. Simple bags, sewn of
organza are easy but very sophisticated. Maybe you have a friend
who sews...
Host gifts Perfect for the holiday season. How about chocolate
truffles or a selection of dried fruits tied in cellophane bags.
In an old wooden crate you could present some fresh nuts, a nutcracker,
pomander and spiced nuts. And for the serious baker, cinnamon sticks,
small baking utensils and your favourite shortbread cookies in a
vintage baking mould looks great and will be much appreciated.
