Here’s a fool proof way to make a parfait perfect. Believe me, I perfected this trick when as a kid working in a restaurant I made hundreds of these dessert treats.
Pour a few drops of your favourite fruit syrup into the bottom of a sundae glass. Add a scoop of your favourite ice cream and push it towards the bottom of the glass. Add a few more drops of the syrup and another scoop of ice cream. The trick to a parfait is to keep pushing the ice cream down into the bottom of the glass which in turn forces the syrup up the glass creating the ripple effect that is a signature of a well-made parfait. You’ll be a parfait pro in no time!
