Toasters have been a welcome addition to our small kitchen appliance collections for over a century. This wonderful appliance turns a slice of bread into a toasty treat! Applying radiant heat to a piece of white or brown bread brings temperatures to a whopping 350 degrees. But it's the caramelization of the sugar and starches which gives a plain piece of bread some added flavour and colour - and that's toast!
