Growing Wheat |

Wheat has long been an important part of Russian culture and it symbolizes health and prosperity. Growing your own wheat is a simple, easy project that will add a bit of colour to your home, whether it ends up on your window sill, on a table, or just about anywhere.
Supplies:
- small ceramic bowls
- 1 lb. whole kernel wheat
- garden soil (any kind will do the trick!)
Method:
Add some soil to a small bowl, filling it almost to the top with a scoop.
Add a generous handful of wheat. Top off with a bit of soil.
Water and place it on a windowsill.
In about a week you will be a witness to a real Russian tradition!
