Space Suckers |

Okay, space
cadets, time for a treat. Here's our recipe for some sweet, spacey
suckers that your parents can make for you for your planetary
party.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups corn syrup (the lighter the better)
- 2 tbsps butter, unsalted
- candy thermometer
- food colouring
- flavours
- white sucker sticks
- icing
- funnel
Method:
Boil water in a large pot. Add sugar, corn syrup, and butter.
Stir, and allow to dissolve.
Attach a thermometer to the side of the pot, and allow to reach
300º.
Turn stove off and let it cool to 160º.
Mix portions of the syrup with different flavours and colours.
Line up sucker sticks on greased baking sheet or marble.
Spoon out portions of the syrup onto the sticks to create round
sucker shapes.
Decorate suckers using icing and a funnel.
Remember: the sky's the limit on your intergalactic designs:
moon, stars, planets, comets, rockets, you name it! Just make
sure you decorate it!
