Dried Flowers |
|
|
For
many of us, there's no greater pleasure than enjoying fresh flowers.
Question is how do we save the flowers well past their bloom?
Traditional methods involve hanging the fresh flowers upside-down
and waiting for them to dry. Here is a much quicker trick:
Supplies:
- silica
gel (available at your local garden store)
- baking
pan
- fresh flowers
Method:
Trim off the stem of the fresh flower and place the bloom
into a bowl filled with silica gel making sure it's entirely covered
by the gel.
Heat in a microwave for 2 minutes. Remove, and set aside for 20
minutes.
Remove from silica gel.
Now that you
have a perfectly dried and preserved flower, can you imagine how
an entire bouquet would look?
