Casual Arrangement |
|
One of the most important things to consider when creating flower
arrangements is that they reflect the occasion. Large Oceana roses
lend their beauty and wonderful scent to a formal table. But what
about something for more casual get-togethers with friends and family?
Here's a simple arrangement that can be created on a moment's notice.
The vessel of choice is an old enamelware coffee or tea pot. You
can also use a glass vase.
- Delphinium - Trim the stems and place them haphazardly into
your flower vessel. Try and use a few different varieties like
purple, white, pink, mauve and blue.
- Daisies - They're simple, inexpensive and fun. Daisies also
help to impart a country look.
- Branches, twigs with berries and greens - These may be found
at your favourite florist, in your backyard, or while on a stroll
in the park. The more natural, the better.
- One final hint: If you're using this arrangement as a centrepiece,
remember to keep it at or below your guests' sightlines so they
can easily see each other across the table.
