207 - High Tea |
|
Tea is served |
|
If you are planning to serve a High Tea, think drama and height.
A crisp table cloth, Battenburg napkins and polished cutlery are
a great foundation. Footed cake and service plates bring your small,
delicate sandwiches and sweet treats closer to the eye and the palate!
Small, simple metal canisters hold the varieties of tea you may
wish to serve. Afterwards you can just put them directly back into
your cupboard. If you really want to go over the top try sugar cubes
with tiny piped flowerets on top. These can be found at specialty
food stores or make your own! Sliced lemon served with a lemon fork,
milk and cream pitchers, tea strainers and mixers, each of these
items will be used over and over once you’ve hosted your first High
Tea. |
